The fall season is upon us and we couldn’t be more excited! Cooler weather, pumpkin-spice everything, Halloween, and of course, fall fashion! Obviously the change in temperature brings out the scarves and the boots but fall also signals a new opportunity to pick out a new pair of sunglasses and/or eyeglasses. Though you won’t be spending as much time out in the sun as you did during the summer, it’s still important that you protect your eyes from the sun, wind and chill in the air.

This fall is all about the big and the bold so we hope you aren’t shy! If you aren’t quite ready to opt for thick, oversized blue, yellow, or red shapes that will take up a large portion of your face (but also make the rest of your features look small) consider one of these more practical options.

  • Modern Cat Eye Sunglasses – Cat eye-inspired makeup is a trend that will likely never go away, especially not this fall. Sunglasses are likely to follow suit! So, what is it about the cat eye that makes for such a polished but fun look? The makeup and the glasses make your eyes appear turned up which makes you look happier. When you smile, your appearance is even brighter and more sincere when sporting this classic look.

  • A Blast from the Past! – Retro looks are not likely to go out of style. Retro sunglasses are all about shapes and this season, round styles large and small are in. If you aren’t sold on this throwback or if round glasses and your face shape don’t agree, give a larger, squarer pair with ombre lenses a try and embrace the nostalgia!

  • Geek Chic – Maybe a few years ago, the words “geek” or “nerd” weren’t synonymous with fashionable but that’s no longer true! If you’re shopping for a new pair of eyeglasses this fall, maybe try out some clear or cat eye frames! And obviously, the standard Wayfarer style will not rest, no matter the color frames you choose.
